Biography
Selected by the Devils in the fourth round (No. 100) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Wood played one season at Boston College and scored 35 points (10 goals, 25 assists) in 37 games in 2015-16. He signed a three-year, entry-level contract on April 8, 2016. Wood set NHL career highs in goals (19) and points (32) in 2017-18, which included his first NHL hat trick against the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 12, 2017. He helped the Devils qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs that season.
On the international stage, Wood represented the United States at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.
