About the Role

The Digital Marketing Strategist – Web Designer is a forward-thinking, analytical individual who will be the go-to expert in our organization for building beautiful websites designed to drive results. You will be challenged to combine technology and design to create inviting, easy-to-use websites for both our company, and our clients, while monitoring performance and optimizing towards KPI (Key Performance Indicators). Our ideal prospect has a solid understanding of digital marketing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and web design best practices.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and execute front end website design and content strategy in CMS (Client Management System) platforms such as Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, etc.

  • Work with a Project Manager and communicate with customers directly when setting up a website.

  • Drive acquisition, engagement and retention of web visitors to all Fox Ellis web properties, increasing lead generation, customer engagement and customer acquisition by collecting and analyzing data on website usage to improve performance and conversion rates.

  • Update and ensure optimized website content for SEO, lead gen campaigns, product launches, webinars, events, etc.

  • Lead and execute back-end website design and development, including integration with lead generation systems, SaaS product systems and customer success tools.

  • Responding to reports of technical problems and working with the team to fix them quickly.

  • Liaising with Project Managers, Copywriters, Graphic Designers, Digital Marketers and Developers to ensure that tasks are completed on time.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Experience building and optimizing websites for lead generation and SEO.

  • Expert knowledge of analytics & tracking platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Webmaster tools.

  • Experience working with CMS platforms such as Duda, Weebly & WordPress.

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, web content and customer journey best practices.

  • Proficiency in website programming languages such as HTML & CSS.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical, detail-oriented and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of Web Design experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in web design and digital marketing.

  • Must have experience with HTML5, CSS, responsive web design and practices, CMS Platforms and the latest UI/UX practices.

  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of KPIs for digital media.
